The shitshow continues. We are exhausted from all that’s happened in the last ten years, not to mention the last ten minutes. And, yet, we have so much to do and so far to go. How are we going to handle it all and make the changes we need to make?
By changing ourselves.
Change your life, change the world. Really. This isn’t just bumper-sticker philosophy; it’s a ripple effect. And it’s the energy that we put out that makes the impact, that creates the shift.
I mean, how are we going to change anything if we stay the same? It’s like trying to make a cake with the ingredients for fried chicken. Some parts work, others don’t. Right? So let’s stop thinking that being happy is frivolous, that it’s less important than being mad and fighting. We get to be mad and we have to fight, but being happy makes all that more powerful and productive. That’s the disrupty part.
When you feel certain and confident — which is what eudaimonic wellbeing provides — then you can charge through life with clarity and empowerment. You won’t take shit or start shit, but you will absolutely put a stop to bullshit.
I’ll say it again: Imagine a world full of truly happy people. Just imagine it. Even just imagine the people in your family being truly happy, your community, your office. Isn’t that the change we want to see and be? So, let’s fucking do it.
Let’s get happy and disrupty, and make changes that matter. Because we can. And we should.
